New Client Information

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re considering taking this step. Starting counseling can feel like a big decision, but you don’t have to do it alone. This page is here to help you know what to expect as a new client and to answer some common questions.

What to Expect at Your First Session

  • A safe, judgment-free space — Your story is yours, and this is a place where you can speak openly without fear.
  • Getting to know you — We’ll spend time talking about what brings you here, your history, and your goals for recovery.
  • A personalized plan — Together, we’ll begin creating a treatment plan that fits your needs, values, and pace.

What to Bring

  • A valid ID
  • Any paperwork from doctors, employers, or the courts (if applicable)
  • Insurance card or payment method
  • A willingness to be honest and open — that’s the most important part.

Insurance & Payment

I accept most major insurance providers, as well as private pay. If you have questions about coverage or payment, please reach out before your first appointment so we can make sure everything is clear and stress-free.

Confidentiality

Your privacy matters. Everything you share with me is confidential, in line with HIPAA guidelines. The only exceptions are when safety is at risk, and I’ll always explain those boundaries up front.

Getting Started

  1. Contact Me — Call or email to schedule your first appointment.
  2. Complete Paperwork — I’ll provide the forms you need before our first meeting.
  3. Begin Your Journey — Show up just as you are. We’ll take it from there, one step at a time.

🌱 Remember: Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. This is the beginning of a new chapter in your story, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
